Privacy Policy

Centered Health provides Traditional Chinese Medicine–informed wellness guidance for families managing infant eczema, through our website, client portal, and mobile app (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the information you give us to care for your family, we use it only to provide and improve that care, and we never sell it.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and phone number, managed through our sign-in provider (Clerk).
• Health and wellness information you provide — intake questionnaire answers, symptom check-ins, feeding and lifestyle details, chat messages, and information about your child that you choose to share. You provide information about your child as their parent or legal guardian.
• Photos — skin, tongue, product, or other photos you choose to upload. Photos are stored securely and used for your care and for the analyses shown to you and reviewed by the founder.
• Usage and device information — basic technical data such as device type and app version, and, if you enable them, a push-notification token so we can send you notifications.

How we use it

• To provide your personalized wellness protocol and respond to your questions.
• To power the AI assistance in the Service: your information (including photos and chat messages) is processed by AI models from our service providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) acting on our behalf. These providers process data to provide the Service to us and are not permitted to use it to train their models.
• To support clinical oversight: the founder reviews records and AI activity as part of running the Service.
• To improve the Service and, where you have separately consented, for research. Any research use beyond internal quality improvement uses de-identified information or is covered by an explicit consent we ask from you.
• To send you service communications (email, SMS, or push, per your preferences).

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information, ever.
• We do not show ads or share your information with advertisers.
• We do not use your information — identifiable or de-identified — to train third-party AI models. We may use de-identified information to evaluate and improve our own service.

Children’s information

The Service is for adults. Information about children is provided by, and under the control of, a parent or legal guardian as part of their child’s care. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and the app is not directed at children.

Storage and security

Your data is stored on secured infrastructure in the United States (including encrypted cloud storage for photos). Access is restricted to the founder and the systems that run the Service. We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest for photos, authenticated access, and audit trails of AI activity.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run the Service: Clerk (sign-in), Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI processing), Twilio (SMS), Stripe (payments), and Expo (mobile push delivery). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function for us.

Your choices and rights

• You can access and update your information in the app or by contacting us.
• You can request a copy of your data at any time by emailing us. We will honor deletion requests for your account and contact details. Clinical records collected during program participation are retained under our stop-and-retain policy (described in the Permission & Understanding document each family signs) and remain usable in de-identified form for the program's clinical documentation and research.
• You can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.
• You can unsubscribe from emails and SMS via the links/replies provided.

Centered Health provides wellness guidance and does not replace your pediatrician. If you believe your child is experiencing a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you through the Service or by email before they take effect.
